Job summary

National Youth Advocate Program in Madison, WI seeks a Lead Medical Coordinator to oversee health services for children in care and supervise Medical Coordinators.

You will train staff on medical topics, develop confidential health record procedures, coordinate emergency responses, and support case managers while ensuring compliance.

The role requires RN, bilingual English/Spanish, public health experience, valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN with Bachelor's degree or higher in health-related field.
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required.
• Minimum of 1 year in public health or healthcare with care coordination, health administration, or direct clinical care.
• Experience in child welfare or working with children/youth in social services.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Proficient with computers and MS Office (word processing, spreadsheets, databases).

Responsibilities

• Oversee health services and coordinate timely health care for children in care.
• Supervise Medical Coordinators and train staff on pediatrics and public health topics.
• Develop and maintain policies for confidential health records and PHI compliance.
• Coordinate medical emergency response and DoH communications.
• Assist in scheduling appointments and transporting children.
• Prepare TARs and ensure payments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure appropriate care.
