Job summary

Frontier Direct Care, LLC is hiring a Medical Assistant to empower members and support a paired PCP in a busy clinic in Austin, TX. You will perform vitals, labs, ECGs, phlebotomy, injections, and assist in procedures while delivering compassionate care.

You will engage with patients via phone/text/email, coordinate with outside services, and help maintain a clean, well-stocked clinic. Bilingual in Spanish/English required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Experience working in a clinic setting.
• Experience providing care to all ages, including pediatrics.
• Proficient with ECG/EKG, phlebotomy, IVs and injections (SC/IM). Onsite skills assessment included.
• Extensive experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR/EMR) systems.
• Active BLS certification or ability to obtain.
• Bilingual Spanish/English.

Responsibilities

• Educate and empower members on how to use their Frontier membership.
• Work with paired PCPs to provide care to assigned patient panel.
• Coordinate provider needs related to patient care to set up success.
• Coordinate with contracted outside service providers (imaging, labs, specialists).
• Perform vitals, phlebotomy, IVs, and injections; assist in in-office procedures.
• Welcome members to the clinic and ensure they feel cared for.
• Conduct regular follow ups to ensure patients feel supported.
• Communicate with patients by phone, text, and email to personalize the experience.
• Restock exam rooms and manage inventory; keep the clinic clean and organized.
• Represent the clinic at community events, health fairs, and outreach programs.
