Job summary

Frontier Direct Care, LLC is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our Texas clinic. The role emphasizes bilingual (Spanish/English) communication, direct patient care, and collaborative work with PCPs to deliver high-quality outcomes.

You will perform vitals, phlebotomy, IVs, ECGs, and assist with in-office procedures while coordinating with labs, imaging, and specialists. Strong organizational skills and compassionate patient interaction are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience.
• Experience in a clinic setting, including pediatrics.
• Proficient in ECG/EKG, phlebotomy, IVs, and injections; onsite skills assessment.
• Extensive experience with EHR/EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Educate and empower members on Frontier membership usage.
• Collaborate with paired PCPs to care for assigned patient panel.
• Coordinate provider needs to support patient care and provider efficiency.
• Coordinate with imaging, labs, or specialists.
• Perform vitals, labs, ECGs, phlebotomy, and IV procedures.
• Assist providers with in-office procedures to ensure smooth care.
• Welcome members to the clinic and reassure them.
• Follow up with members to ensure they feel cared for.
• Communicate with patients by phone, text, and email.
• Restock exam rooms and manage supplies; maintain clinic cleanliness.
• Represent Frontier at community events and health fairs.
• Personal cell phone required for communication.
