CommuniCare+OLE is seeking a Medical Assistant I in West Sacramento. This nonexempt/hourly position requires 1 year or less of experience, CPR certification, and strong communication skills. Duties include patient intake, helping with health coverage applications, data entry, and supporting clinical flow.

Qualifikationen

• Education: High school diploma or GED. CA Medical Assistant certification strongly preferred. Phlebotomy certificate strongly preferred.
• Experience: Entry level position up to one year. CPR certification required.
• Skills: Strong verbal and written communication; strong interpersonal and customer service; bilingual in English/Spanish/Dari/Punjabi/Vietnamese strongly preferred.

Aufgaben

• Interview patients for program eligibility for health coverage programs (e.g., Covered California, Medi-Cal).
• Assist patients with program applications and documentation collection.
• Educate patients and families about health coverage programs and provide patient education.
• Enter patient data into electronic health record systems.
• Support community events and health fairs.
• Greet patients and maintain a positive patient experience; assist with rooming and vital signs.
