Job summary

CommuniCare+OLE is seeking an Access Representative I for the North Napa location. This role greets patients, handles phone inquiries, pre-registers patients, and processes insurance eligibility using the EMR system. The position supports a team in a busy healthcare environment and emphasizes strong customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Entry level position; one year of healthcare experience preferred.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish/Dari/Punjabi/Vietnamese strongly preferred.
• Must certify and remain CPR certified.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Data entry skills, Microsoft Office, and Electronic Health Records experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in person or by phone and provide positive customer service.
• Input patient data accurately into the EMR before saving.
• Screen patients for insurance eligibility and refer self-pay patients as needed.
• Answer calls promptly with courteous, accurate encounter notes.
• Schedule appointments and pre-register patients; confirm eligibility and contact patients as needed.
• Collect and post co-pays and payments; balance cash receipts.
• Maintain patient privacy and security of information.
