Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CA Medical Assistant certification strongly preferred.
• Phlebotomy certificate strongly preferred.
• Entry level position; up to one year of experience.
• Must certify and remain current in CPR.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients for program eligibility for health coverage programs.
• Assists patients with applications and documents.
• Educates patients about health coverage programs.
• Data entry of patient information into EHR system.
• Support community events and health fairs.
• Greet patients into exam room areas and ensure positive patient experience.
• Room patients and document vital signs.
• Collect patient history and current health state.
• Disinfect and prepare treatment rooms and equipment.
• Provide patient education and follow-up care instructions.
• Manage panel tasks and non-visit duties as directed.
• Collaborate with providers to deliver high-quality care.
• Ensure timely provider/MA huddles before shifts.
• Perform routine screening and procedures as directed.
• Immunizations administered per provider order and documented.
• Maintain logs and charts accurately.
• Record freezer and refrigerator temperatures; take action as needed.
• Run daily QA for in-house testing equipment.
• Adhere to safety precautions for staff and patients.
• Communicate clearly with providers, staff and patients to promote clinic flow.
• Complete chart prep and QA measures; assist with admin tasks.
• Respond to patient messages promptly as directed.
• Assist teammates during downtime; propose process improvements.
• May float to other sites.
