Job summary

CommuniCare Health Centers of Yolo County (OLE Health) is seeking a Medical Assistant I for a temporary, full-time role in West Sacramento. The MA will conduct intake interviews, assist with program applications, document vital signs, and support clinic flow.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, CA MA program completion (certificate preferred), CPR, and strong communication and customer service skills. Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Completion of accredited CA Medical Assistant program; MA cert preferred.
• Phlebotomy certificate preferred.
• Entry-level to 1 year experience.
• CPR certification required and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients for program eligibility (Covered California, Medi-Cal, Healthy Families, PAP, CMSP).
• Assist patients with applications and gather documentation.
• Educate patients about health coverage programs.
• Enter patient data into EHR system.
• Support community events and health fairs.
• Greet patients and maintain positive customer service.
