Job summary

Access Community Health Network in Chicago, IL is seeking a Medical Assistant to support a collaborative care team and deliver quality patient services as ACCESS's medical home.

Role includes taking vital signs, phlebotomy, administering vaccines, and assisting with onsite procedures while maintaining patient records; Epic EMR training is provided to support professional growth in a mission-driven setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited program.
• CPR/Basic Life Support Certification.
• Minimum of one year experience or clinical externship.
• Basic proficiency with EMR (Epic preferred).
• Ability to work some evenings and Saturdays.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a care team to provide quality health services and resources.
• Assist providers with onsite procedures.

• Assist patients by answering questions, returning calls, scheduling, and reviewing records.

Position Summary

• Work in collaboration with a skilled care team that includes dedicated providers, benefits specialists, front desk receptionists, behavioral health consultants and others to provide quality health services and resources to meet our patients’ needs.
• Assist providers with onsite procedures.
• Take vital signs, perform phlebotomy and administer medications/vaccines directly to patients.
• Assist patients by responding to questions, returning calls, scheduling appointments and reviewing medical records.
• Continue to grow your knowledge base through extensive clinical training and technical training with Epic, one of the leading Electronic Medical Record Systems globally.

Requirements

• HighSchool diploma or equivalent
• Medical Assistant diploma from an accreditedprogram
