Job summary

MAC Incorporated in Vernon, CA is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations, oversee supervisors and technicians, and drive safety and efficiency. The role requires bilingual capability, SOP creation, CMMS proficiency, and strong problem-solving in a fast-paced production setting.

The person will manage maintenance strategies, safety compliance, and performance metrics across shifts, coordinating with other departments and reporting to upper management.

Qualifications

• Must be bilingual and able to develop SOPs.
• Experience with troubleshooting and hands-on problem solving.
• Strong leadership and team management skills for maintenance staff.
• Familiarity with OSHA and safety/compliance practices.

Responsibilities

• Set department goals and procedures to achieve objectives.
• Ensure health, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Draft maintenance reports to improve team performance.
• Maintain and update preventive maintenance system and procedures.
• Oversee maintenance supervisors and technicians, including training.
• Investigate and resolve operational problems via reports/inspections.
• Conduct regular staff performance reviews.
• Direct work plans, assign activities, monitor workflow.
• Evaluate tech/process improvements; attend reviews.
• Coordinate with other departments; report to upper management; monitor metrics.
• Interview and onboard new staff; manage schedules and payroll-related items; staff development.
• Establish long-term training and succession planning.
• Promote safety culture and lead safety/emergency responses.
• Ensure staff have necessary tools and materials.
• Maintain clear communication on project status.
• Ensure daily submission of work orders and PM records.
• Enforce breaks/lunch policies to maintain coverage.
• Conduct safety and food safety audits; participate in committees.
• Recommend equipment modifications to improve safety and operations.
