Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Mesa, AZ is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to determine donor eligibility, perform examinations, and review test results. The role reports to the Center Manager and works under the Center Physician for medical issues, in line with FDA and plasma collection standards.

The ideal candidate is a state-licensed LPN/LVN, CPR/AED certified, with at least two years in a clinical setting, and willing to support vaccination programs and EHS

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent including graduate nursing program.
• Currently licensed in the responsibility state: LPN/LVN.
• CPR and AED certification on file.
• Fulfill state IV therapy requirements.
• FDA training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years clinical/hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility with informed consent and medical history.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance and occupational health.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS/Medical Affairs.
