Job summary

BioLife Plasma is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations in San Antonio, TX. You will determine donor eligibility, review test results, and manage donor safety under the Center Manager and Center Physician guidelines.

Role requires EMT licensing with CPR/AED, RN/LPN licensure, and at least two years in a clinical setting. The position aligns with Takeda’s patient-focused care and safety standards.

Qualifications

• EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P licensure in state of responsibilities
• CPR and AED certification
• RN/LPN licensure
• Two years in clinical or hospital setting

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, AIDS education, self-exclusion, medical history, physical exam, and SPE review
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs
• Refer to Center Physician/Medical Affairs for guidance on medical issues
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees
• Manage employee incidents with occupational health/ER and EHS guidance
