BioLife Plasma Services in Mesa, AZ, seeks a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to determine donor eligibility, manage adverse events, review lab results, and notify donors of unsuitable tests. This role supports center operations under the Center Manager and Center Physician guidance.

You will handle vaccination programs, occupational health incidents, and EHS coordination as needed, leveraging nursing licensure and clinical experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent to including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Satisfactorily complete the FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsabilités

• Determine donor eligibility with informed consent, medical history interview, physical exam and serology review.
• Evaluate donor reactions per SOPs and arrange medical emergencies if needed.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical guidance.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents with guidance from EHS and Occupational Health.
• Potential to act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized.
