Job summary

ProTrans International in Duncan, SC is seeking a full-time Dispatcher to manage entry/exit of equipment and support local deliveries and OTR trailers. The role requires coordinating with drivers, answering dispatch calls, and maintaining logs and paperwork with accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year recent experience as a Dispatcher in an LTL Transportation environment.
• Must be computer literate with MS Office (Word, Excel, Email).

Responsibilities

• Dispatch local carrier city and yard drivers.
• Answer the ProTrans dispatch phone.
• Notify transportation personnel of delays in pick up or delivery.
• Notify of equipment damages or breakdowns in a timely manner.
• Maintain dispatch and yard move logs.
• Time stamp all paperwork at dispatch desk.
• Verify paperwork for completeness, dates and signatures.
• Coordinate with Dock Coordinators and SCRs.
• Prepare end-of-day reports as required by ProTrans.
• Maintain equipment issued logs.
