Job summary

ProTrans International in Duncan, SC seeks a Dispatcher to manage local and OTR logistics. You will dispatch city and yard drivers, manage paper and digital logs, and coordinate with docks, SCRs, and customers to resolve missed shipments.

Ideal candidates will be bilingual (English/Spanish), computer-literate with MS Office proficiency, and have at least one year of dispatcher experience in an LTL environment. This is a full-time on-site role requiring attention to safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of recent Dispatcher experience in an LTL environment.
• Strong ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish required.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch local carrier city and yard drivers.
• Answer the ProTrans dispatch phone and respond to inquiries.
• Notify transportation personnel of delays or equipment issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain dispatch and yard move logs and T-card board.
• Prepare end-of-day reports and maintain equipment issued logs.
• Coordinate with Dock Coordinators, SCRs, and customers on missed shipments and quantity counts.
