Job summary

National Vision, Inc. is seeking a Licensed Optician – Assistant Manager who is bilingual in English and Spanish to lead store operations and eyewear sales.

The role emphasizes customer service excellence, team leadership, and adherence to National Vision standards. The position includes supervision of Opticians and Sales staff, collaboration with the General Manager on staffing, and opportunities for growth within a large optical retail network.

Qualifications

• Fluent in reading and speaking both English and Spanish.
• Maintain Optical license as required by the state.
• Optical sales experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and build associate relationships.
• ABO and NCLE Certified.

Responsibilities

• Drives, monitors, and achieves profit, sales and performance goals according to National Vision standards.
• Oversees eyeglass department efficiency and compliance with policies.
• Provides outstanding customer service and ensures team adherence to service standards.
• Ensures quality standards and effective merchandising and promotions per Brand standards.
• Supervises and motivates Opticians and Sales associates; supports staffing planning.
• Assists GM with forecasting staffing needs and staff retention.
• Leads and coaches associates toward sales and customer service goals.
• Mentors Apprentice Opticians as permitted by law.
