Consumer Legal Services PC in Long Beach, CA seeks a motivated Legal Assistant/Intake Specialist to be the first point of contact for clients seeking legal help. You will gather case information, screen eligibility, and maintain organized files while supporting attorneys and schedule appointments.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year in legal intake, strong communication skills, and proficiency with case management software and MS Office. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus in our fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a legal assistant, paralegal, or client intake role preferred
• Familiarity with legal terminology, documentation, and court procedures
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in legal case management software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Empathetic, professional demeanor when handling sensitive client matters
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

Responsabilités

• Conduct client intake interviews, gathering and documenting case information accurately
• Screen potential clients to determine eligibility and case viability
• Maintain and organize legal files, records, and case management databases
• Draft and prepare legal correspondence, forms, and documents as directed by attorneys
• Schedule consultations, hearings, and appointments for attorneys and clients
• Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and third parties via phone and email
• Follow up with prospective clients and track intake pipeline progress
