Avanath Capital is seeking a Leasing Specialist for Bay Vista at Meadow Park in Novato, CA. The role centers on leasing, marketing, and maintaining positive resident relations within the community.

The ideal candidate brings 2+ years in sales or customer relations, plus experience with affordable housing or tax credits. Bilingual English/Spanish is highly desired, with a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends. Proficiency in Yardi Voyager is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of sales and/or customer relations experience.
• Low-income housing and tax credit experience is highly desired.
• Bilingual English & Spanish highly desired.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends.
• Solid computer knowledge, Windows (Word, Excel), internet, and e-mail.
• Working knowledge of Yardi Voyager Property Management software.

Responsibilities

• Greet and qualify all prospects.
• Record all telephone and in-person visits on guest cards.
• Inspect models and communicated service needs; coordinate with Community Manager.
• Demonstrate community and apartment/model; close the sale.
• Have the prospect complete the application and secure a deposit per procedures.
• Update availability report and process applications for approvals.
• Ensure apartment is ready for move-in on the agreed date.
• Follow up on prospects who did not close and refer to sister communities if needed.
• Secure new resident signatures and orient new residents.
• Assist in monitoring renewals and distribute renewal notices.
• Type leases and input information into the Yardi system accurately.
• Maintain current resident files and distribute notices.
• Maintain monthly commission records for bonuses.
• Assist management with various tasks and ensure policy compliance.
