Job summary

Avanath Capital Management, LLC in San Jose, CA seeks a Leasing Specialist to drive marketing, leasing and positive resident relations within the community. You will greet prospects, qualify visitors, process applications, and help ensure a smooth move-in experience.

The role requires exceptional customer service, 2+ years in sales or customer relations, and comfort with Yardi Voyager. Bilingual English/Spanish is highly desired, with flexibility for evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Passion for providing exceptional customer service.
• 2+ years of sales and/or customer relations experience
• Low-income housing and tax credit experience is highly desired.
• Bilingual (English & Spanish) highly desired.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends.
• Solid computer knowledge, Windows (Word, Excel), internet, and e-mail
• Working knowledge of Yardi Voyager Property Management software

Responsibilities

• Greet and qualify all prospects.
• Record all telephone and in-person visits on guest cards.
• Inspect models and communicate service needs to Community Manager.
• Demonstrate community and apartment/model features and close the sale.
• Have prospects complete the application and secure a deposit.
• Update availability report and process applications for approvals.
• Ensure apartment is ready for move-in on the agreed date.
• Follow up with prospects who did not close and refer to sister communities if needed.
• Secure new resident signatures and orient new residents.
• Assist in monitoring renewals and follow up on renewal notices.
• Type lease and complete paperwork in the Yardi System on time.
• Maintain current resident files and distribute notices.
