Job summary

Avanath is seeking a Leasing Specialist to lead leasing, marketing, and resident relations within the community. The role emphasizes professionalism, relationship-building, and a proactive approach to resident and staff engagement.

Responsibilities include greeting prospects, processing applications, managing leases in Yardi, and supporting resident retention through timely follow-up and service coordination. A fast-paced environment with flexible hours is typical.

Qualifications

• Passion for providing exceptional customer service.
• 2+ years of sales and/or customer relations experience.
• Low-income housing and tax credit experience is highly desired.
• Bilingual (English & Spanish) highly desired.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends.
• Solid computer knowledge, Windows (Word, Excel), internet, and e-mail.

Responsibilities

• Provide top-tier customer service and sales support to prospects and residents.
• Greet and qualify prospects; manage guest cards and process applications.
• Inspect models, communicate service needs to Community Manager, and close leases.
• Process lease paperwork and input data into Yardi accurately and timely.
• Maintain resident files and distribute notices; track monthly commissions.
• Assist with renewals, notices, and move-in readiness; coordinate with maintenance.
• Respond to resident requests and concerns, ensuring timely resolution.
• Ensure adherence to policies and Fair Housing guidelines.
