Job summary

Avanath is seeking a Leasing Specialist to drive leasing, marketing, and resident relations within our community. You will greet prospects, qualify leads, process applications, and secure deposits, while maintaining accurate records in Yardi.

A strong emphasis on customer service, collaboration with the Community Manager, and adherence to Fair Housing guidelines remains essential throughout daily tasks. The role requires 2+ years in sales or customer relations, bilingual English/Spanish is

Qualifications

• 2+ years of sales and/or customer relations experience.
• Low-income housing and tax credit experience is highly desired.
• Bilingual English and Spanish is highly desired.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends.
• Solid computer knowledge, Windows (Word, Excel), internet, and e-mail.
• Working knowledge of Yardi Voyager Property Management software.

Responsibilities

• Greet and qualify all prospects.
• Record all telephone and in-person visits on guest cards.
• Inspect models and communicate service needs to Community Manager.
• Demonstrate community features and apply product knowledge to prospective clients; close the sale.
• Process applications and deposits according to policy and Fair Housing.
• Update availability, process applications for approvals.
• Ensure apartment is ready for move-in on the agreed date.
• Follow up on unclosed prospects and refer to sister communities when needed.
• Secure new resident signatures and orient new residents to the community.
• Assist in renewals and distribute renewal notices.
• Type leases and input data into the Yardi system accurately.
• Maintain resident files and distribute notices.
• Maintain monthly lease/renewal commission records.
• Support management with additional tasks and uphold community policies.
