Job summary

Acacia Network is seeking an Intake and Recruitment Specialist to conduct client intakes, assess eligibility, and support recruitment for a refugee-focused workforce program. The role involves office-based work with local NYC travel to outreach events.

The ideal candidate has experience in multicultural settings, strong English skills, and a demonstrated ability to coordinate services and document client progress. A commitment to serving underserved communities is essential.

Qualifications

• Assc. degree preferred with commensurate experience.
• Experience in outreach for human service or refugee programs.
• Experience providing intake services in multicultural/refugee settings.
• Fluency in English; additional languages helpful.
• Knowledge of local resources for refugees and immigrants.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial client intakes and assess eligibility.
• Develop and attend job fairs and outreach events.
• Develop partnerships with community organizations for referrals.
• Explain program services and complete intake processes.
• Schedule assessments with Case Managers.
• Maintain accurate client records and reports.
• Make referrals to internal and external resources.
• Advocate for clients to access necessary services.
