Job summary

Suvida Healthcare is seeking an Insurance Verification Specialist (Greeter) for the South Austin clinic. You will be the first impression for patients, families, and visitors, delivering exceptional customer service and guiding them to seating, transportation, and appointments.

You will verify benefits, assist with referrals and authorizations, and support clinic clerical tasks. Ideal candidates have 1+ year in healthcare, 2+ years in customer service, and bilingual English/Spanish abilities.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of progressive work experience in healthcare
• 2+ years of customer service experience
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish required
• Experience managing referrals and authorizations is preferred
• Experience in value-based care operations is preferred
• Experience documenting electronic medical records
• Comfortable working independently

Responsibilities

• Ensures the highest level of customer service possible
• Greets and Welcomes patients to the clinic
• Assists patients to the seating area and wheelchair as needed
• Schedules transportation for patients
• Verifies insurance benefits and collects co-pays
• Manages calls, messages, and outbound calls
• Processes referrals and authorizations
• Updates patient information in EMR
• Other duties as assigned
