Job summary

Work schedule: 6.25 hours/day on Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri; 5 hours on Wed; 180-day calendar; salary range $22.03–$24.83 per hour. The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, bilingual preferred, and completion of one of the district's credential options.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bilingual and/or Biliterate (Spanish) preferred.
• Must meet one of: AA degree or 72 college credits or passing paraeducator ETS.
• Prior paraeducator experience or related work preferred but not required.
• CPR/First aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use trauma-informed strategies to support student needs and regulate emotions.
• Collect and document data on academic progress, behavior, and IEP goals.
• Follow behavior intervention plans and CPI strategies to de-escalate challenging behaviors.
• Assist delivering instruction and reinforcement in academics, behavior and social-emotional areas.
• Provide first aid when needed.
• Supervise students during arrival, departure, recess, meals and transitions.
• Assist with preparing materials and classroom management.
• Translate verbal/written information for students and staff (bilingual).
