Job summary

Mt. Diablo Resource Recovery (MDRR) is seeking a Customer Service Representative 1 to serve as the liaison between customers and the company. Based at the Concord home office with offices in Pittsburg and Oakley, you will handle billing inquiries, payments, and service questions across residential accounts.

The role requires effective communication, multitasking, and a positive, professional demeanor, with after-hours work possible and travel to multiple office locations as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Experience with MS Office Suite, including Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong time management, organization, and prioritization.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities.
• Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries in person, over the phone, or via email.
• Assist customers with billing, payments, and updating account information.
• Balance cash drawer and handle payments.
• Maintain and update customer account information.
• Collaborate with team to improve customer service.
• Assist walk-in customers with payments and debris box orders.
• Travel to Concord, Pittsburg, Oakley, and Rio Vista as needed.
