Job summary

Community Partners in Action (CPA) is seeking a Human Services Worker for Waterbury Transitional Housing in Waterbury, CT. The role supports men in a supervised residential setting, enforcing program policies and promoting positive change.

The ideal candidate has a HS diploma or GED (associate or bachelor’s preferred), crisis management skills, and a valid CT driver’s license. Bilingual Spanish/English is desirable; weekend and holiday shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in human services with justice-involved clients preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish/English skills desired.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor resident activities per program policies and maintain safety.
• Advocate for participants to encourage participation and accountability.
• Mediates resident conflicts using solution-focused approaches.
• Maintain professional boundaries and respond professionally to staff and residents.
• Complete incident reports and maintain shift logs accurately.
• Assist with meeting resident needs and adhere to agency policies.
