Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Eastern Territory is seeking a Social Services Case Manager to provide case management for Trenton Citadel social service programs under supervision. The role includes client intake, needs assessments, service coordination, and outreach to families in need.

Responsibilities include coordinating with partner agencies, maintaining records, supporting volunteers, and contributing to Pathway of Hope initiatives. Strong bilingual skills and 1–2 years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Social Work or related field is required.
• Bachelor’s in Social Work preferred.
• 1–2 years of case management or counseling experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Organizational skills and professional demeanor.
• Knowledge of Mercer County resources and community services.

Responsibilities

• Perform intakes, interviews, and assessments of clients’ needs and follow up with households for other programs.
• Provide comprehensive case management including assessment, action plans, and pathway to self-sufficiency.
• Coordinate services with partner agencies for holistic service delivery.
• Support Pathway of Hope by enrolling eligible families and following policy procedures.
• Maintain accurate records and timely reports in databases for programs and funding sources.
• Prepare and maintain statistical reports; manage lobby and reception area; oversee volunteers.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings; uphold Salvation Army mission.
