Job summary

MMI Industrial & Steel seeks an HR Generalist based in Mesa, AZ to support daily HR operations across California and Arizona. This role focuses on administrative duties, employee lifecycle, compliance, onboarding, benefits, and employee relations, with onsite and remote support to the Mesa HR function.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, bilingual (English/Spanish preferred), and experienced with HR systems, multi-site workflows, and workforce support in a distributed environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• 3–5 years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably within multi-site and/or multi-state organizations.
• Working knowledge of California and Arizona employment laws and compliance requirements.
• Experience with HRIS platforms, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and employee records management.
• Strong administrative, organizational, and recordkeeping skills with exceptional attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and compliant employee records, including HRIS data entry and documentation tracking.
• Support full-cycle recruiting activities, onboarding, and employee documentation.
• Administer benefits eligibility and enrollment, and assist with open enrollment.
• Train and support supervisors on HR systems, performance management, and policy adherence.
• Translate HR communications for Spanish-speaking employees as needed.
