Job summary

Ajulia Executive Search is seeking a bilingual Spanish/English HR Generalist for a manufacturing client in California. The role covers day-to-day HR operations, employee relations, onboarding, job description management, compliance, and performance support.

You will serve as a primary contact for employees and supervisors, ensure policy consistency, and help maintain a positive workplace. Requires 4+ years HR experience, CA labor law knowledge, and HRIS experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 4+ years of HR experience
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (verbal and written)
• Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and state labor laws
• Experience with HRIS systems and MS Office
• Strong communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality

Responsibilities

• Provide HR support to employees and supervisors in both English and Spanish.
• Manage employee relations cases, conduct investigations, document findings, and support corrective actions.
• Create, update, and maintain job descriptions; ensure accuracy, consistency, and proper FLSA classification.
• Support performance management processes, including coaching documentation and performance improvement plans.
• Facilitate new hire orientation and manage end-to-end onboarding documentation.
• Interpret HR policies and provide guidance to employees and leadership.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Ensure accurate HR documentation, employee files, and confidential records.
• Support employee engagement initiatives, surveys, and communication efforts.
• Assist with DEI projects and HR-related programs as needed.
• Collaborate with operations and safety teams on compliance and workplace standards.
• Use HRIS systems to manage employee data, reporting, and workflow tasks.
