Job summary

Evolving Solution Services in Detroit, MI is seeking an HR Generalist to support daily HR operations at our manufacturing facility. You will maintain employee records, administer HR processes, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, and support onboarding and payroll activities.

The ideal candidate is bilingual (English/Spanish), organized, and able to handle confidential information in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of Human Resources experience.
• Fluent in English and Spanish; strong written and verbal communication.
• Experience using ADP, ADP Workforce Now, or similar payroll/HRIS system.
• Knowledge of Michigan employment laws and HR practices.

Responsibilities

• Support daily HR operations and guide employees and supervisors on HR matters.
• Assist full employee lifecycle: onboarding, new-hire paperwork, changes, transfers, separations.
• Maintain confidential employee personnel records.
• Administer and maintain employee information in HRIS/Payroll systems.
• Assist with payroll processing, timekeeping, attendance, and payroll questions.
• Monitor attendance and assist with related documentation.
• Support recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding activities.
• Coordinate new-hire orientations and required documentation.
• Assist with employee relations, investigations, and performance documentation.
• Partner with supervisors to ensure policy adherence.
• Help update handbooks, policies, and HR procedures.
• Maintain compliance with federal and Michigan employment laws.
• Stay informed on HR best practices for Michigan employers.
• Assist with employment postings, records, and compliance documentation.
• Support benefits administration and respond to benefits questions.
