Job summary

Harvest Food Group, Inc. is hiring an HR Generalist at our East Chicago manufacturing facility. You will serve as a key partner to employees and supervisors, handling employee relations, full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, policy guidance, and HR compliance.

You will also provide backup support for benefits administration, payroll, and HR reporting, ensuring accurate records in Paycom while promoting a positive, compliant work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in HR or related field.
• 3+ years of HR experience with a strong focus on employee relations.
• Experience handling employee concerns, investigations, and supervisor coaching.
• Experience supporting full-cycle recruitment and onboarding.
• Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, FLSA and applicable state regulations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with confidentiality.
• Proficient with HRIS Paycom.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Employee relations: address workplace concerns and guide supervisors.
• Recruitment and onboarding: manage requisitions, screenings, interviews, and new hire orientation.
• HR compliance: apply policies and assist with laws like FMLA/ADA/FLSA.
• Benefits and payroll: backup support as needed.
• HRIS and records: maintain accurate employee data in Paycom.
• Employee engagement: support engagement initiatives and events.
• HR projects and process improvements.
