Job summary

Commercial Metals Company seeks an HR Generalist to lead staffing, onboarding, and employee relations. You will manage recruiting in the ATS, conduct orientations, and help implement compensation and benefits programs.

Role requires knowledge of federal/state laws, strong English–Spanish communication, and MS Office proficiency. Travel up to 25% is expected. Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field is required, with growth opportunities in a Fortune 500 setting.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of EEO, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA, Workers' Comp, DOL, and E-Verify required.
• Strong client-facing skills with a consultative approach.
• Proficient in MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Bilingual English-Spanish required.
• Minimum 1 year HR experience in recruiting, employee relations, benefits, training, compensation, or labor relations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure staffing needs are met in a timely manner.
• Manage recruiting activity and documentation in the ATS per affirmative action policies.
• Conduct new employee orientations.
• Support employee relations and cultivate a positive CMC culture.
• Process day-to-day HR transactions and maintain data accuracy.
• Oversee compliance with federal and state regulations (EEO, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA).
• Assist investigations and respond to government, legal or internal charges.
• Participate in compensation planning, performance reviews, and development planning.
• Educate employees about CMC benefits and lead annual enrollment.
• Provide training and facilitate sessions.
• Communicate issues to HR Manager and help resolve them.
• Ensure consistent policy implementation.
