Job summary

Superior Metal Technologies in Indianapolis is seeking a Bilingual HR Assistant for part-time hours (25–30 per week). You will support recruiting, onboarding, records, benefits and payroll within a manufacturing environment, reporting to the HR manager.

The role requires English/Spanish bilingual proficiency, a basic HR or business degree, and 1–2 years of admin or HR exposure. A commitment to safety and compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration (preferred).
• 1–2 years of administrative experience, HR internships, or coursework.
• 1–2 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be bilingual (English/Spanish).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, HRIS systems, Workspace, Google, ATS.
• Strong knowledge of labor laws, benefits administration, and onboarding procedures.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and quality standards in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment & Onboarding: assist with job ads, coordinate interviews, contact candidates, and facilitate onboarding for new hires.
• Employee Records Management: maintain accurate personal files, update HR databases, ensure policy compliance.
• Benefits Administration: support benefits enrollment, answer questions about health insurance and retirement plans.
• Payroll Support: assist payroll processing, track attendance, and record disciplines and compensation.
• Employee Relations: act as liaison between employees and HR manager, address inquiries, direct to resources.
• HR Process Support: coordinate events, policies, training programs, internal communications and HR projects.
