Job summary

Volunteers of America Colorado (VOAC) is seeking a Housing Case Manager to provide direct services and housing support at the VOAC Navigation Center, a 103-bed shelter for men and women in Lakewood, CO. You will conduct needs-based assessments, assist with housing placements, and coordinate with landlords while ensuring proper documentation in HMIS and Service Point.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field and bilingual Spanish, with a focus on trauma-informed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and bilingual Spanish required.
• At least one year of working with people experiencing homelessness.
• Strong organizational and planning skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct needs-based assessments, determine program eligibility, and provide case management to support shelter stability and housing goals.
• Assist participants in securing and maintaining housing, including rental applications, landlord mediation, and linking to benefits.
• Engage with community providers, multidisciplinary teams, and attend meetings/trainings.
• Maintain thorough records in Service Point and HMIS; ensure access to referrals.
• Develop specialized services based on participant needs and best practices in service delivery.
