Job summary

Bentwater Yacht and Country Club seeks a Housekeeping Supervisor to assist the Housekeeping Manager in maintaining cleanliness across the property. The role emphasizes staff training, scheduling, supervision, and ensuring consistently high standards of service with a strong focus on detail.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years in private club or hotel settings, defensibly resolving guest issues, and strong leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish REQUIRED.
• Experience in private club or hotel environment preferred.
• 3 - 5 years relevant work history REQUIRED.

Responsibilities

• Assigns workers their duties and inspects work for conformance to prescribed standards of cleanliness.
• Investigates complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment, and takes corrective action.
• Obtains list of rooms to be cleaned immediately and list of prospective check-outs or discharges to prepare work assignments.
• Conducts orientation training and in-service training to explain policies, work procedures, and demonstrate use and maintenance of equipment with new hires
• Responsible for staff performance reviews, in the absence of the Manager.
• Reviews and prepare or assist with scheduling of staff members.
• Reports all maintenance and repair needs to the maintenance department directly if needed.
• Coordinates work activities among departments, in the absence of the Manager.
• Maintains inventory of stock to ensure adequate supplies.
• Makes recommendations to the Manager to improve service and ensure more efficient operation.
• Performs standard cleaning duties.
• Issues supplies and equipment to workers.
• Establishes standards and procedures for work of housekeeping staff.
• Advises manager, desk clerk, or admitting personnel of rooms ready for occupancy.
• Additional duties as assigned.
