Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with relevant certs or training.
• One year of experience in medical assistance or referral coordination.
• Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken form.
• Spanish-speaking required.
• Strong customer service and organizational skills.
• Proficient typing and MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and process all referral requests from clinical staff.
• Verify patient insurance and obtain authorization for referrals.
• Conduct phone consultations regarding referral status.
• Handle prior authorization requests efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records using Centricity EHRS.
• Build relationships with providers and referral sources.
• Adhere to HIPAA and Medicare/Medicaid regulations.
• Follow up and complete orders for referred patients.
• Set and confirm medical appointments as needed.
• Participate in Performance Improvement Program.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
