Job summary

Cano Health LLC is looking for a Referral Coordinator to support the clinical unit with essential clerical tasks such as coordinating external services, scheduling consultations, and ensuring proper referrals are made. The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, experience in a healthcare setting, and be bilingual in English and Spanish.

This position requires proficiency with Microsoft Office and knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) retirement plan.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a physician’s office, clinic, or hospital processing referrals.
• Experience scheduling healthcare appointments.
• Medical terminology knowledge.
• Experience with office equipment, including computers, calculators, fax machines, and copiers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule referrals as per policy.
• Ensure all necessary medical records are forwarded to the referral provider.
• Act as a resource for staff and patients regarding referral policies and procedures.
• Input all authorization information into the database, including diagnostic and procedure codes.
• Obtain appropriate authorizations as needed.

Skills

Bilingual in English and Spanish

Proficient with Microsoft Office

Proficient in use of ECW

Experience with various insurance portals

Knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare
