Job summary

Community Action Partnership of San Luis Obispo is seeking a Finance Specialist for the Child and Adult Care Food Program. Under general direction, you will provide fiscal and administrative support to ensure timely payments and accurate financial records across the program.

The ideal candidate holds an AA/AS degree with at least 3 years of related experience (or a combined 5 years in admin/financial roles) and is fluent in two or more languages.

Qualifications

• Two or more languages required to support diverse program needs.
• AA/AS degree and at least 3 years related experience or 5 years admin/financial experience.
• Valid driver's license and travel requirements may apply depending on department.

Responsibilities

• Process and track program expenditures by reviewing invoices, PO, and supporting documentation.
• Allocate expenses and maintain financial records per program requirements and funding sources.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues with vendors, staff, and Finance team.
• Prepare contractor agreements, program files, reports, and fiscal documentation.
• Support monthly meal reimbursement claims and meal count reporting for CACFP compliance.
• Provide fiscal guidance to staff and assist with policy implementation.
• Maintain program resources and assist with administrative support for operations.
• Translate program materials into Spanish as needed.
