Job summary

North Raleigh Ministries (NRM) equips families and individuals in crisis with resources and skills to achieve stability. The Program Navigator supports Food Pantry operations, engages clients, coordinates volunteers, and maintains program data to ensure a welcoming, organized experience.

Reporting to the Program Manager, this full-time, non-exempt role also assists with nutrition initiatives, leadership development, and staff collaboration across CARE Services.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in human services or related field is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Experience in office administration, program support, or client-facing roles preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Español required.
• ServSafe certification preferred (within 90 days of employment).
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Food Pantry phone operations, including curbside client intake and program-related calls.
• Verify client eligibility and complete thorough client intake, direct and initiate referrals to appropriate staff.
• Assist in maintaining accurate client-facing materials, including flyers, forms, grocery slips, and informational signage.
• Ensure timely and accurate entry of all Food Pantry and program-related data.
• Provide support and guidance to daily food pantry volunteers and assist during volunteer group events.
