CORA (Chatham Outreach Alliance) Food Pantry in Pittsboro, NC seeks a Pantry Manager to oversee daily pantry operations, including inventory, logistics, volunteer coordination, and staff supervision. The role ensures food safety compliance and manages federal food programs, serving as a key community liaison. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and tech-friendly, with a bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in nonprofit or food service.

Bilingual is a plus. Must lift up to 40 lbs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in nonprofit or food service preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs repeatedly.
• Experience with volunteer coordination and supervisory roles is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily pantry operations, inventory, facilities, and logistics.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise volunteers and staff.
• Ensure compliance with Feeding America, Food Bank of CENC, and other regulations.
• Coordinate with systems director on budgeting and resource use.
• Develop training materials and maintain compliance documentation.
• Collaborate on community outreach, partnerships, and communications.
