North Raleigh Ministries (NRM) seeks a Program Manager to lead and oversee food security programs, ensuring compliant, dignified client services and strong staff support. The role collaborates across CARE Services to sustain program quality and community engagement.
The incumbent will supervise staff and volunteers, coordinate scheduling and training, and drive outcome-focused reporting while maintaining partnerships with food sourcing entities and community partners.
Program Manager North Raleigh Ministries (NRM) equips families and individuals in crisis with the resources and skills they need to achieve stability. This is accomplished through evidence-informed and community-based programs that foster hope, purpose, and well-being. The Program Manager provides leadership oversight of food security programs, ensuring effective operations, compliance, and a consistent, dignified client experience through the supervision and support of program staff and volunteers. This role also expects flexible support across other CARE Services program areas as requested, helping ensure continuity of services organization-wide. The Program Manager reports directly to the Director of Programs and plays a key role in strengthening program quality, sustainability, and community engagement. This is a full-time, exempt position requiring strong leadership, organization, and collaboration skills, as well as a commitment to NRM's mission and values.
Provide backup coverage and support to other CARE Services program areas as needed to ensure continuity of services.
Bachelor's degree in social work, public health, nonprofit management, or a related field preferred
3–5 years of experience in program management, food insecurity, or human service. Experience supervising staff and volunteers required
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. Experience with data tracking, reporting, and outcome measurement. Ability to build and maintain effective community partnerships. Commitment to client dignity, equity, and trauma-informed practices. Ability and willingness to provide flexible support across other program areas as needed.
ServSafe certification preferred (within 90 days of employment).
