Job summary

Fleet Services by Cox Automotive is seeking a Shop Service Writer in Miami to support growth. You will answer calls, prepare accurate repair estimates, and maintain clear communication with customers and technicians.

You’ll handle RO entry, approvals, and lifecycle management while ensuring quality service and regulatory compliance at our local service center. The role requires bilingual Spanish, HS diploma with experience, strong organizational skills, and familiarity with shop management

Qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish and English is required.
• HS Diploma/GED with 3 years related experience, or 5 years in field.
• Strong verbal and written communication and listening skills.
• Familiarity with Karmak, ADP, Reynold, RO Writer or similar programs.
• Good computer skills and ability to learn DFS IT Systems such as Web Wrench.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and assist service customers with repairs and maintenance needs.
• Create estimates aligned with customer needs, cost, quality, and lead time.
• Communicate repair status and obtain approvals via email, fax, or phone.
• Review repair orders for accuracy and proper symptom/problem descriptions.
• Manage lifecycle from origination to customer custody of repairs.
• Obtain customer approvals for all repairs and services performed.
• Dispatch and assign shop work to technicians.
• Collaborate with technicians, sales, and customers to ensure excellent service.
• Document and note in DFS systems for each vehicle repair.
• Foster good relationships with customers, vendors, and partners.
• Maintain quality service by enforcing standards and safety policies.
