Job summary

YES Prep Public Schools is seeking a Special Education Inclusion Teacher in Houston, TX. The role focuses on writing accurate IEPs, delivering rigorous content, and using data to drive student growth.

You will collaborate with a team to support students in inclusive settings and engage families through regular updates. The position is 10-month with a compensation starting at $64,000 per year, plus stipends and a signing bonus for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Texas Educator Certification in Special Education, or willingness to join ACP to get certified.
• Strong ability to navigate web-related applications and technology.
• Ability to instruct students using a variety of technology platforms.
• Openness to giving and receiving frequent feedback.

Responsibilities

• Write accurate, aligned IEPs for students on your caseload.
• Develop rigorous content-area lessons for 1:1 blended learning.
• Set ambitious goals and monitor student progress with feedback.
• Track growth and create student growth plans as needed.
• Communicate regularly with parents via phone, video, email or district site.
