The role focuses on writing accurate IEPs, developing rigorous 1:1 blended-learning lessons, tracking student growth, and maintaining strong family communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Texas Educator Certification in Special Education, or willing to join ACP to get certified in first year.
• Strong ability to navigate web-related applications and technology.
• Ability to instruct students using a variety of technology applications and platforms.

Responsibilities

• Writing accurate, aligned, data-driven IEPs for students on your caseload.
• Developing rigorous lessons in your content area in 1:1 blended learning environments.
• Setting ambitious goals with students and monitoring progress with regular feedback.
• Tracking student growth and using data for growth plans.
• Communicating regularly with parents via phone, video conference, email, or district-approved site.
• Creating a conducive classroom environment for learning and development.
• Collaborating with co-planners and content teams to improve instruction.
• Meeting regular deadlines for lesson plans, grades, and samples.
• Providing additional instructional support through weekly tutorials.
• Completing supervision duties to support student safety.
• Growing professionally through feedback from administrators.
