Job summary

YES Prep Public Schools is seeking a Special Education Inclusion Teacher for a 10-month role in Houston, TX. The starting pay is $64,000 annually with a 26-27 stipend up to $4,000 (certification required) and a signing bonus up to $4,000.

ADDITIONAL pay via TIA can push earnings to over $102,800 for eligible teachers. In this role you will write IEPs, develop rigorous lessons in a blended learning setting, monitor growth, and maintain strong family communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university recognized by THECB.
• Texas Educator Certification in Special Education, or willingness to ACP for certification in first year.
• Strong ability to navigate web-related applications and technology.

Responsibilities

• Write accurate, aligned, data-driven IEPs for students on caseload.
• Develop rigorous lessons in content area in 1:1 blended learning environments.
• Set ambitious goals with students and monitor progress with feedback.
• Track student growth and create growth plans with coaches' input.
• Maintain regular communication with parents via phone, email, or conferencing.
• Create a conducive classroom environment for learning and development.
• Collaborate with co-planner on daily lesson plans and resources.
• Meet deadlines for lesson plans, grades, and work samples.
• Supervise on campus for student safety and conduct compliance tasks.
• Grow professionally through feedback from leaders and peers.
