Job summary

Innovative Network of Knowledge (INK) in Johnson City, TX is seeking an entry-level childcare assistant to support infant/toddler/preschool classrooms. You will help implement activities, monitor safety, and assist with transitions throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Previous early childcare experience is preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
• CDA credential is required and will be pursued within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom activities as directed by the teacher and assist with transitions to and from the classroom.
• Communicate child observations to teachers, including potential interference with development and school readiness.
• Support teachers’ coordination with education, family, mental health and/or child development professionals to address identified needs.
• Maintain confidentiality in all areas of child and program operations.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.
