Job summary

CSL Fort Wayne center is seeking a Pheresis Technician to prepare donors, the donor area, and equipment for the pheresis process. You will set up the autopheresis machine, monitor the donor, respond to alarms, and safely disconnect after completion.

Evening/closing shifts (2:00 PM–9:00 PM) are common, with Monday–Friday and every other weekend required. Bilingual candidates are strongly preferred. A high school diploma and at least three months of related health care experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and pheresis process and respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain awareness to donor reactions and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents and donor data using PDA and electronic donor information systems.
