Job summary

Uber Freight in Laredo, TX is seeking a detail-oriented Customer Service Specialist to assist clients with entry-related inquiries, process import documents, and ensure CBP compliance.

You will coordinate with operations, compliance, accounting, and carriers; maintain records; and communicate in English and Spanish, delivering timely updates and escalating complex issues to senior staff. This is a full-time role with standard hours, based at our Laredo office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of U.S. Customs brokerage or import operations experience.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with multitasking ability.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (professional proficiency).

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for U.S. Customs brokerage inquiries and status updates.
• Prepare, review, and process import documentation per CBP regulations and SOPs.
• Monitor tariff changes and regulatory updates; escalate issues when needed.
• Coordinate with operations, compliance, accounting, and carriers to resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate records and provide timely shipment updates to clients.
• Research routine questions independently and identify compliance risks for escalation.
• Communicate effectively in English and Spanish with clients and stakeholders.
• Support process improvements by identifying gaps and efficiencies.
