Job summary

Buckland Customs Brokers Ltd. is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee the daily operations team, driving efficiency and top‑tier customer service. The role includes staff supervision, KPI management, and cross‑functional collaboration across operations and IT.

Relocation to Laredo, TX is required. The ideal candidate has 4+ years in customs or international trade, leadership experience, and strong English/Spanish communication. A competitive package and growth opportunities await.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or diploma in International Trade, Logistics, Business or related discipline.
Minimum 4 years proven customs, compliance, or international trade experience.
Strong leadership, communication, and decision‑making skills.
High level of organization, time management and attention to detail.
Understanding of customs regulations across CAD/USA/MX is preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage daily operations of the company’s operations department and supervise staff.
Coordinate with internal and external clients to ensure KPI targets are met.
Develop and implement procedures and work instructions per client needs.
Collaborate with IT to refine work instructions from request to production.
Provide information to billing and assist with afterhours support and documentation.
Manage network of customs clearance partners and drayage companies.
Communicate effectively in English and Spanish.
Monitor performance and provide regular feedback to maintain high service standards.
