Job summary

Consumer Directed Services in Texas (CDS) is seeking a Customer Support Specialist to be the welcoming voice for individuals with disabilities and their caregivers. You will triage calls, assist with in-person visits, and handle employment verifications while maintaining accurate member data.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 1+ year of call center experience, with Spanish bilingualism highly preferred. A positive, confidential, team-focused attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ year of call center experience (required).
• 1–2 years of experience in a healthcare setting (preferred).
• Bilingual in Spanish (highly preferred).
• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to type 35 WPM with 80% accuracy.
• A positive, team-oriented attitude and a commitment to confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Answering and triaging inbound calls and emails with professionalism and empathy.
• Providing in-person support to members visiting the office.
• Assisting with employment verifications and general inquiries.
• Maintaining accurate member data and updating demographics.
• Disbursing documents to appropriate departments.
• Supporting multiple departments with a variety of administrative tasks.
