TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Crisis Counselor (Bilingual) in Miami, FL for our client, supporting crisis intervention, risk assessment, and referral services in a high-volume call center environment.

This role focuses on assisting individuals in crisis through de-escalation, safety assessment, and connection to community resources. Structured training and long-term growth within a behavioral health setting are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field required.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Creole required.
• 1–2+ years of crisis intervention, social services, or behavioral health experience preferred.
• Familiarity with crisis response protocols, referral services, and community resources preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to navigate multiple systems during calls required.
• Strong communication, emotional resilience, and ability to stay calm under pressure required.

Responsabilités

• Crisis Intervention: Respond to inbound calls and provide crisis counseling and suicide intervention using established protocols.
• Assessment: Evaluate caller needs, identify risk factors, and determine appropriate next steps for care and support.
• Resource Coordination: Provide referrals to community services and support agencies based on individual needs.
• De-escalation: Utilize active listening and crisis management techniques to stabilize high-stress situations.
• Documentation: Accurately document all interactions and maintain detailed records in the system.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to confidentiality standards and regulatory requirements including HIPAA.
